Fly Fishing in the Chilean Patagonia on the famous
“Yelcho” Lake and River Sistem

Our fishing programs are designed for you to get to know and fish in the best areas of the Yelcho Lake and River.

Professional guides will allow you to enjoy the real experience of fishing in the Chilean Patagonia.

We guarantee world-class fishing for wild Rainbow, Brown and Brook Trout with large Coho and Chinook Salmon being caught in increasing numbers (Some over 50lb’s). Salmon fishing is particulary good in november, march and april.

We will fish in different areas of the lake where there is rush, river mouths and streams. The most important areas are Bahía Leones, Yelcho Chico, Correntoso and where the Futaleufú River flows into the Lake. We will go down the Yelcho River fishing in deep pools. It is impressive to see the trout jumping out of the emerald green water. Indeed, much fishing in the river is “sight fishing”

As an option, there is an outing from the Lodge, down the river to the Sea where Sierra and other fish abound.

This program includes land transportation to and from Esquel (Argentina) or Balmaceda (Chile), where transportation will be waiting to take you to Yelcho Lodge.

All meals are included in our programs, with typical Chilean Patagonian and International food.

*For Sierra fishing we have a 280hp North River jet boat, which takes fishermen 40km down the river arriving at the sea.
This has an additional cost of US$200 plus fuel.
